For many, the biological standpoint on human nature and society implies Darwinism, and social Darwinism in particular. This is a prejudice. Beware of “-isms”: they are nothing more than a particular world view, enforced by selective perception.

There is much more to human nature as simple survival of the fittest. Humans are exceptional and remarkable animals at least on one way: the ability to control one’s instincts. This is a game changer in evolution, making humans the champions of survival, but paradoxically challenging human survival at the same time. How can we adjust ourselves to us, this is the real strategic human task for generations.

Most philosophical views on human nature are based on one of several fundamental ideas. The first is the idea of God; the second, the idea of biological survival; the third, the immediate effects of “what works”, empiricism. Seems that these fundamental ideas in turn are based on human nature itself. Reflection is essential to the human consciousness.

There are many facets of human nature. Exploring them all one by one and in units is an exciting task. Everybody likes to know more about himself

This project is intended as a kind of live book. I am interested in quality feedback; contrary arguments to my assertions if You wish. One human, however well intended, just physically cannot grasp every aspect of any problem; the problem of human nature is not an exception. However we can do our best at it. There is nothing more intellectually challenging and thus interesting than a quality discussion.

Internet is full of everything, especially of trivia and b-shit. It means that condensed quality information is precious.
